Brucknerchor
- Choirmaster Manolo Cagnin
- Prefects: Andrea Zimmermann and Peter Trenkler
This season, Brucknerchor has 25 members, five of whom are new to the choir. The boys come from Vienna, Lower Austria, Salzburg, the Tyrol, and Carinthia. Some boys have Chinese, Japanese, Indian or Congolese roots. Two choir boys are from the USA, from New York City and from Cincinnati.
In 2008, the choir's Asian tour took them to Vietnam, Singapore, China and Taiwan. They also toured Ireland, Spain, Germany, Belgium and Switzerland. In 2009, Brucknerchor had a month on the set of Curt Faudon's new film, "Bridging the Gap", and two months on tour of the United States.
The boys of Brucknerchor are currently in Vienna, rehearsing for the masses at the Imperial Chapel and busy working on the choir's new opera, "Der Bettelknabe" which premieres in the Musikverein in February.

Anton Bruckner
(1824 - 1896)
was the organist of the Chapel Imperial. Several of his masses were written for the court and indeed received their first performance by the musicians of the Chapel Imperial. Bruckner himself used to rehearse with the boys.
