Singing remains at the heart of their curriculum. Chorus Juventus is the mixed youth choir comprising the entire student body of Years 9 to 12. The ensemble pairs former choristers with talented new vocalists who join our high school programme from other schools. Led by Kapellmeister Daniel Erazo-Muñoz, the choir performs a wide-ranging repertoire from diverse concert programs to sacred masses and grand oratorios. Audiences can regularly hear them in Vienna’s premier venues—including the Musikverein, Konzerthaus, and City Hall—as well as churches across the city.
Every year, Chorus Juventus performs a fully staged opera or musical production at the MuTh, our campus concert hall. Recent highlights include Engelbert Humperdinck’s Hänsel und Gretel and Henry Purcell’s The Fairy-Queen. The choir also performs beyond Vienna, with guest appearances at prestigious events such as the Liszt Festival in Raiding, the Müpa in Budapest, and the Chorfest in Eisenstadt.
