Each choir spends nine to eleven weeks of the school year on tour— amounting to one full term. Between them, they give around 300 performances annually, singing for nearly half a million spectators. The choirs travel to almost every country in Europe, as well as Asia, Australia, South and Central America, the USA, and Canada.
Old Masters, New Directions
The choir’s music transcends time, space, and genres—sacred and secular, historic and contemporary, from every corner of the globe. By mixing traditional high culture with today's sounds, the boys develop an ear and a love for great art. As a mark of respect for the countries they visit, they perform songs in the local languages on their tours.
Unique Encounters, Friends for Life
Life as a choirboy is intense, but it brings extraordinary rewards. The boys regularly collaborate with the world’s leading figures in music, art, and culture—experiences that inspire them and stay with them forever. They quickly learn to take meetings with heads of state, dignitaries, and global celebrities in their stride, whether these guests visit the choir at home or cross paths with them on tour.
The friendships the boys form at Campus Augarten often last a lifetime.
